The journal aims to support a well-prepared, representative, and responsive nursing workforce by convening expertise, fostering research, and developing nurse-forward strategies. The editorial board comprises professionals from state nursing workforce centers, academic institutions, and healthcare organizations. This inaugural issue reflects nearly 30 years of collaboration among state-based nursing workforce centers, emphasizing standardized data collection, workforce infrastructure, and innovative policy development. The journal serves as a platform to showcase cutting-edge research, workforce strategies, and solutions to address challenges in nursing employment, education, and retention.
